The Initial Problem

Due to various circumstances ATCM had a very limited time in which to organise and deliver the world Congress 2010 conference.

The World Congress 2010 is a high profile international conference that was to be held in the QEII conference centre, London. ATCM needed to create an identity for the conference and market the event to an international audience.  In addition ATCM needed to provide an online event registration facility that would allow delegates to book their place and also select from various activities and workshops that they wanted to attend.  The registration process was also required to take payment online.

How the Helix team helped

The Helix team worked closely with Iprocom, the appointed marketing consultancy, and Raymond Patmore of Helix Design to quickly create a CMS website that included information on the conference programme together with supporting information on the venue and location.  Helix also carried out post production of a promotional video and hosted this on the site.

We researched the available third party online registration systems and selected RegOnline of Active Networks as the most suitable and effective solution. Helix fully integrated this 3rd party online registration system into the website and provided support to ATCM for managing the registrations.

Another key element of the marketing and promotion of the event was the use of HTML email bulletins. These were turned around in a very short time scale and were distributed on a weekly basis.

Successful Outcome

All those involved in the project, ATCM, Inprocom, Helix Design and ourselves worked very closely which resulted in a well attended and successful World Congress 2010 conference. The site continues to provide a platform for downloading speakers presentations and other documents even after the event.
